Summer Celebration a Sizzling Success
On July 19th, the Summer Celebration at Mission Village at the Ponds drew a substantial gathering, providing attendees with a variety of activities, giveaways, and prize draws, generously sponsored by local businesses. The event offered many activities including live music, the popular Queen Reptile exhibit, and special appearances by the Kelowna Fire Department and Big White’s mascot, the Loose Moose.
Through the generosity of participants and a donation match from Scotiabank, a total of $3,000 was raised for Paws it Forward. This event also facilitated the placement of seven deserving dogs into the Paws it Forward foster trial program. Furthermore, Save-On-Foods BBQ-by-donation collected $1,400, which will be distributed to KGH and JoeAnna’s House. This event served as a powerful demonstration of the strong community spirit within Mission Village and its dedication to supporting local charitable organizations.
